From Cutting Grass at Eight to Cooking with Passion

I got my first taste of hustle cutting grass at 8 years old. That summer, my siblings and I volunteered to mow lawns for elderly neighbors, no pay. When it ended, I had $46.45 in tips and a whole new understanding of what work, service, and growth really meant.

That same work ethic followed me into the kitchen. I started cooking for family, then dove into culinary training, where I competed, traveled, and learned from mentors who pushed me to grow. My hands-on journey led me to Restore OKC Farm, where I learned to grow the food I cook. From there, I stepped into the restaurant world, eventually becoming Executive Sous Chef at Eastside Eatery. Each step taught me something new about leadership, creativity, and staying grounded in what matters.
Eventually, I started Chef E Catering. Now, I get to pour all that experience into what I create: soulful food, made with intention, served with purpose.

My grandma used to say, "You know when food is made with love," and she was right. I bring that same energy to everything I do—whether it's a dish from my childhood or something new I’m experimenting with.
